  • Formal introduction.

    Post 2, so my inexperience will be obvious.

    I’m not a bells & whistles type guy (yes, guy). I try to stick to the KISS principle, so don’t expect videos and graphics and stuff.

    About the domain name; no, it doesn’t refer to Epi-pen. I play bass guitar. I own and currently play an Epiphone Allen Woody model, hence the domain.

    I”m a little past 70, live in the desert southwest (US), was born and raised in the midwest, and I’m retired from way too many years working in local TV news.

    If I continue with this blog, I have no idea where it will go. I can guess that there will be an occasional swear word or two, some sexual references. I may get political but I’m basically a moderate when it comes to that stuff. Also, I expect I’ll be passing along whatever knowledge I’ve gained from my life on this planet. I have no kids to inflict those thought upon, so I may unload them here. We’ll see.

    Random facts: I have a dog, Maggie, a German shepherd/God-knows-what-else mix, with epilepsy (with drugs, she’s fine); I read novels, mysteries mostly; I prefer action/sci-fi movies, though I’m not a fanatic about it; and this is beginning to read like a sad personals ad (is there another kind?) so I’ll close here.

  • I have no idea what I’m doing here. My brother emailed me a link that sent me to wordpress, I thought to read something he posted. $50 and 20 minutes later, I have a blog, my own domain, and still no idea wtf he was trying to show me.

    Should anyone else be unfortunate enough to stumble across this, my apologies.

    I confess, I’ve always toyed with the idea of blogging. Maybe I’ll find out if there’s anything to it for me.

    Or maybe I just wasted 50-odd bucks.
